Situated behind the Café Lavinal and alongside the Place du Sauvignon, the Bages studios consist of a group of buildings with a cultural theme, where specially-designated areas have been created for artists or craftsmen.
Permanent studio
Master basket-makers Pierre Eveillard and Carine Kauffmann offer a selection of their creations in a sales-exhibition. They are also endeavouring to open up the culture of baskets to the public, as well as traditional and creative basket-making techniques.
Opening times and days:
Until 31 March: Closed on Mondays; open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Annual closing: From 1 January to 1 February inclusive.
Seasonal studio
A second studio houses the work of graff artist Blade.
A fan of the contemporary "Street Art" or "urban art" movement, Blade uses spray paint and brushes, and is as happy creating exterior frescoes as when producing charcoal sketches and coloured graffiti on canvas.
Blade is the artist behind the fresco depicting the most significant events in the history of Lynch-Bages, which can be seen on one of the village façades.
